SDECNX008: ONE DAY DOI INTHANON + TREKKING AT KEW MAE PAN

The highest peak of Thailand is 2,565 meters above sea level or the summit of
Doi Inthanon. The most stunning areas of the park. Lush green jungle with abundant flora under Royal Agricultural station, it consists of Rhododendron garden,Fern Greenhouse,Flower Plants Greenhouse and Hydroponics Vegetables Greenhouse.

Visit King and Queen Pagodas The brown Phra Mahathat Napamaythaneedol Chedi was erected in 1987 in honor of the King and the more feminine, lilac coloured, Phra Mahathat Napapoommisiri for the Queen in 1992. Inside the chedis Thai people and visitors alike leave offerings of flowers and incense sticks as a mark of respect to the well-loved monarchs. The view is tremendous, and the gardens are beautiful.

Then visit Mhong tribe market.

Start trekking and spend about 2 hours walking in Kew Mae Pan Trail ( Trekking at the highest spot in Thailand.)

Departure to Karen village at Ban Mae Klang Luang , a village where the Pagayaw live their unique traditional lifestyle. This group, the largest concentration of Karen people residing in Thailand, leads and is peaceful. Also ,the main occupation of the villagers are rice farming and growing the chemical-free Arabica coffee. The Handmade products are very interesting.

And departing to Wachirathan Waterfall was the second major waterfall on the way up to the summit of Doi Inthanon, this is the one popular, the most powerful and spray on the mountain’s slopes.
