Pick up 09.00-17.00 from hotel around chiangrai and first visit is

White Temple : Towards the end of 20nd century, the original Wat Rong Khun was in a very poor state of preservation. Restoration works on the temple started, but had to be halted due to a lack of funds.

Black House Created by Thailand national artist “Thawan Duchanee” ,the ground includes nearly 40 small black houses made of wood, glass, concrete, bricks, terracotta in various unique styles and design scattered around temple area. The cluster of houses accommodates Thawan’s collection of paintings, sculptures, animal bones,s kins,horns,silver and gold items from around the world. Several of the house exhibit Balinese and Burmese architecture.

The Long Necked Karen They been here from Burma and do not have Thai citizenship. They fear they will be executed if they return to Bermar. They are encourages to increase the length of their necks, but their neck are no longer strong enough to support their heads without the metal rings.

The Golden Triangle is one of Asia’s two main opium-producing areas. It is an area of around 367.000 square miles that overlaps the mountains of tree countries: Myanmar, Laos and Thailand

House of Opium A very interesting collection of opium memorabilia from opium weights to pipes etc. A detailed history of the farming& drug lord’s involved.it portrays what a huge industry, how it affected with many people and country. Upstairs houses a huge collection of pipes as well as some interesting photos of the long neck tribes and their finish habits. Well worth the visit.

Mea Sai This border town faces Myanmar across the Mea Sai River, Numerous shopping opportunities exist for popular Thai,Burmese and Chinese goods

Thampla meaning fish cave there is also a Temple close to small mountain where Monkeys climb over the temple and surrounding with trees and chase each other.
