DAY2: Similan Islands 1 Day Trip by Speed Boat
05.00AM-17.00PM
Itinerary:
05.30AM Pick up from your hotel in Khao Lak Area:
To best avoid the crowds that the Similan Islands are infamous for, your pick-up time will be between 5:00 am and 5:30 am, depending on the location of your hotel in Khao Lak.
Enjoy a Light Breakfast at the pier before departure:
You’ll have the chance to enjoy a light breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea, followed by a safety and tour briefing at our private pier before departure. Then, you’ll embark on a scenic 75 minute cruise to the Similan Islands on one of our speedboats.
Explore Similan Island No.8:
Your adventure-filled day begins on the stunning white sand beach at Donald Duck Bay on Similan Island No.8. Hike up the trail to Sail Rock for a breathtaking and iconic view of the bay, a sight that has captured the hearts of countless visitors. Stand at the top of Sail Rock and take in the spellbinding panoramic view, feeling the refreshing sea breeze and the warm sun on your skin. Moments like this can make time stand still, creating memories that will stay with you forever.
Enjoy Time on the Beach:
If hiking to the viewpoint isn’t your cup of tea, you can kick back and relax on the beach, gear up and test out your snorkeling equipment, or plunge into the soothing waters of the Andaman Sea. Today, the world is your oyster, and the choice is yours!
first Snorkel Stop:
We do our best to avoid the crowds and find as serene an area as sea conditions allow for your snorkeling experience. The superb underwater visibility that the Similan Islands are famous for allows for a clear view of the colorful coral reefs teaming with vibrantly coloured fishes and invertebrates. Please remember to look at, but not touch, the marine flora and fauna. While looking for Nemo and other members of the anemone fish family, look into open water, from time to time, to spot barracuda and trevally cruising through the blue in search of their next meal. The water temperature hovers around 30˚C, and the underwater visibility is usually above 20m when the park is open. However, weather, visibility, and sea conditions may vary occasionally.
Second Snorkel Stop:
Different reef topography types and structures attract different fish species. Each location may have a different reefscape. Visiting a new location may bring forth fish and invertebrate species you may not have seen yet. Many fish and invertebrate species prefer to hide amongst and under the rocks, so look closely along the bottom to spot moray eels, dancing shrimp, starfish, sleeping blue-spotted stingrays, and much more.
Picnic Lunch on the Beach:
We stop on the largest of the Similan Islands, an idyllic setting for you to enjoy a Thai picnic-style lunch. We will arrive in time to avoid the overcrowding on the beach that Similan Islands No.4 is infamous for.
Free Time to Explore Island No.4:
After lunch, you will have free time to explore the island, swim in the tranquil waters, or simply unwind and get a tan on the beach.
Third Snorkeling Stop:
To ensure you have enough time to experience the marine life at the Similan Islands, we take you to a third location to snorkel at. If you feel you’ve spent enough time in the water. sit back and relax on the boat and take in the beauty of the Similan Islands above the surface. Otherwise, it is time to jump in! Fish and turtles move. Chasing them may only leave you exhausted and no closer to the animal you are pursuing. Instead, slow your pace and wait to see if the animal returns to where you first spotted it. It is common for reef inhabitants to have a territory they call home. The animal you were chasing will most likely return when it no longer feels threatened.
Return to the pier:
It is time to say goodbye to the Mu Ko Similan National Marine Park. After everyone is back onboard, the speedboat begins the journey back to the mainland, where refreshments await your arrival at the pier. Transit time back to the pier is around 75 minutes, depending on sea conditions.
17.00PM Return to your hotel in the Khao Lak Area:
Our minibus drivers will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in the Khao Lak area in time to watch the magnificent Andaman Sea sunset at the end of a perfect day in paradise.

DAY3: PHANG NGA BAY – JAMES BOND ISLAND DAY TOUR
Itinerary: Program Time 07.30AM-17.00PM
Pick up from your hotel in the Khao Lak area:
Your friendly guide and driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned minibus in front of your hotel lobby around 7:30 am. Your exact pick-up time depends on the location of your hotel. We will confirm the pick-up time with you when you book.
Arrive at the pier:
Hop aboard a traditional Thai Longtail boat to begin the scenic journey into Phang Nga Bay! Have your camera ready to capture the breathtaking karst islands that earned Phang Nga Bay UNESCO World Heritage status!
James Bond Island:
Before long, Ko Tapu will appear in the distance. Ko Tapu received the nickname James Bond Island after being used as a filming location for the 007 movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. Once you have arrived on the neighboring island, Ko Khao Phing Kan, your tour guide will lead you to a viewing area where you can photograph the iconic 20-meter-tall monolithic islet, Ko Tapu. Khao Phing Kan translates to English as the Island of Mountains Leaning Against Each Other. While you are there, be sure not to miss the opportunity to photograph the intricately scribbled cliff face leaning on the neighboring peak.
Sea Cave canoeing:
The captain will stop at a location where an experienced paddle guide will take you by canoe into sea caves to witness the ever-changing formations up close and personal. Over the ages, water erosion and sedimentary deposits have sculpted the limestone islands into unique shapes with numerous sinkholes, caves, and caverns. Stalactites hang precariously from the cave ceilings over your head, and stalagmites rise from the shoreline. Without the need to paddle yourself, your hands are free to capture stunning photographs of the interior of the caves at your leisure.
Lunch at Panyi (Panyee) Floating Village:
The residents of Ko Panyi proudly welcome visitors to their village, which, when viewed from a distance, appears to float on the surface of the sea. Panyi Village may appear to float, yet nearly all the structures are supported columns embedded in the sea bed. One notable exception is the football pitch, made famous when the local youth football club won six back-to-back Southern Thailand Championships from 2004 to 2010. Panyi Village is currently home to around 1,600 residents who can trace their lineage to a few Javanese families that settled on Ko Panyi in the eighteenth century. You will dine on a traditional Thai lunch prepared by the Panyi people, with plenty of time afterward to explore their village, shop for souvenirs, and learn a little about their proud history and culture.
Return to the pier:
When the tour of Phang Nga Bay is complete, the captain will return to the pier, where your driver and minibus await. Please make sure that you have all of your personal belongings with you when you disembark.
Visit a Thai Buddhist Temple:
On your return journey to Khao Lak, your guide will decide to visit Wat Prachum Sueksa Temple or Wat Tham Suwan Kuha Temple. Wat Tham Suwan Kuha tends to get uncomfortably overcrowded because it is a popular destination for large tour buses carrying tourists from Phuket who come to feed the resident monkeys and view the reclining Buddha statue inside the cave. Your guide will take you to Wat Prachum Sueksa for a more intimate experience if Wat Tham Suwan Kuha is going to be overcrowded. The temple grounds will be the subject of your photos at Wat Prachum Sueksa, not a hoard of tourists, albeit without the monkeys. If you have your heart set on seeing monkeys and we go to Wat Prachum Sueksa, don’t worry! We have it covered. We will take you to view the monkeys at a picturesque public park in Phang Nga!
Visit resident monkey at a Phang Nga park:
If you have your heart set on seeing monkeys and we go to Wat Prachum Sueksa, don’t worry! We have it covered. We will take you to view the monkeys at a picturesque public park in Phang Nga! Be aware that monkeys love to collect shiny things, so we highly suggest leaving loose jewelry, such as necklaces and bracelets, in the minivan while in the presence of monkeys.
Return to your hotel in the Khao Lak area:
We will have you back at your resort around 5 pm, just in time to watch the sunset over the North Andaman Sea. Once again, please be sure you have all your belongings when you exit the minibus. We thank you for joining us and hope to see you again soon!
