Snake Island : (Vigan Island)
Named for its distinctive S-shaped sandbar, Snake Island connects the Palawan mainland to a nearby islet during low tide. Best explored on foot when the sandbar is fully visible, this scenic stretch offers stunning panoramic views and is ideal for a peaceful stroll or wading in the shallow, clear waters.
Pinagbuyutan Island:
A serene paradise known for its towering coconut trees and untouched shoreline, Pinagbuyutan Island is perfect for swimming, lounging, and soaking in the coastal breeze. Its calm emerald waters also provide excellent snorkeling opportunities, revealing a colorful underwater world beneath its surface.
Entalula Island:
A postcard-perfect escape in the Bacuit Archipelago, Entalula boasts powdery white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush green hillsides. This tranquil island is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling, offering both relaxation and adventure in one breathtaking location.
Cudugnon Cave:
Hidden at the base of Mount Maateg on Lagen Island, Cudugnon Cave combines natural wonder with archeological intrigue. Accessible through a narrow rock opening, this cave reveals dramatic limestone formations, eerie stalactites, and high cavern ceilings. Best visited during low tide, it's also a great snorkeling spot, teeming with marine life just outside its entrance.
Cathedral Cave:
Located on Pinasil Island, Cathedral Cave stuns visitors with its grand, cathedral-like chamber formed by soaring limestone cliffs and massive stalactites. Accessible by kayak or small boat, the cave is illuminated by shafts of sunlight filtering through the ceiling, creating a serene, sanctum-like atmosphere. Though swimming isn’t recommended due to the presence of venomous sea snakes, the site is a breathtaking example of El Nido’s hidden natural wonders. It is also known for the harvest of edible bird’s nests used in exotic cuisine.
